About the Box Hill electorate
The electoral district of Box Hill is an electoral district of the Victorian Legislative Assembly.
It covers an area of 25 square kilometres (9.7 sq mi) in eastern Melbourne, and includes the suburbs of Blackburn, Box Hill, Box Hill North, Mont Albert and Mont Albert North, Balwyn, Canterbury, Forest Hill, Nunawading and Surrey Hills.
It lies within the Eastern Metropolitan Region in the upper house, the Legislative Council.
At the calling of the November 2022 election, the boundaries of the Box Hill district will change to include Box Hill South, Burwood and Blackburn South whilst losing the areas of Balwyn, Canterbury and most parts of Surrey Hills.
